Mike Lindahl has been involved with the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association for over a decade, serving on the board since 2018 after four years as a coach. In addition to his role with SBBA, he has spent the last 10 years coaching boys’ and girls’ AAU basketball, bringing a wealth of experience to player development at all levels.
His basketball background includes working in basketball operations for the Minnesota Timberwolves from 2002 to 2010. Mike earned a degree in Sports Management from the University of Minnesota, where he built a strong foundation in both the business and developmental aspects of the game.
Professionally, he has spent the past 15 years in the IT industry, working with various companies in technology leadership roles. As SBBA President, Mike is committed to fostering a competitive, player-focused program that provides opportunities for young athletes to grow both on and off the court.
Brooke Kuchenbecker has been a valued member of the SBBA Board since 2018, bringing strong organizational and leadership skills to her role as Secretary. As the owner and an agent at Flagship Insurance Services, she combines her business expertise with a commitment to supporting youth sports in the Shakopee community.
Brooke is a graduate of Minnesota State University, Mankato, where she earned a degree in Business Administration and Management. In addition to her work with SBBA, she previously served as Treasurer for SACS Shakopee Parents in Partnership for five years, further demonstrating her dedication to community involvement and financial stewardship.
Through her role on the board, Brooke plays a key part in ensuring effective communication and structure within SBBA, helping to support the growth and success of the program for players, coaches, and families.
Mason Lunning joined the SBBA Board in 2024 and serves as Treasurer, bringing a strong financial background to the association. He holds both a Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting and a Master’s in Accountancy from the University of Iowa, equipping him with the expertise to oversee SBBA’s financial operations with precision and transparency.
With a commitment to ensuring the long-term financial health of the program, Mason plays a vital role in budgeting, financial planning, and resource management. His attention to detail and strategic mindset help support SBBA’s mission of providing a high-quality basketball experience for players and families in the Shakopee community.
Sarah Baumgartner joined the SBBA Board in 2021 and serves as Vice President and Co-Tournament Director, playing a key role in organizing and managing SBBA’s tournaments. Her leadership helps ensure well-run, competitive events that benefit players, teams, and the broader basketball community.
She is a graduate of Southwest Minnesota State University, where she earned a degree in Psychology and Social Work. As a Human Resources professional, Sarah brings strong organizational, communication, and people management skills to the board, helping to foster collaboration and efficiency within SBBA.
Her passion for youth sports and community engagement drives her commitment to enhancing the experience for players, coaches, and families while strengthening the association’s tournament operations.

Jamie Mohlin joined the SBBA Board in 2022 and serves as Co-Recreation Program Director, helping to oversee and enhance the development of the recreational basketball program. Her role focuses on creating a fun, inclusive, and skill-building environment for young athletes in the Shakopee community.
She studied at Minnesota State University, Mankato, and brings a strong passion for youth sports and community engagement to SBBA. Through her leadership, Jamie works to ensure that players of all levels have a positive experience while building a foundation in basketball fundamentals.
Her dedication to the program helps provide opportunities for young athletes to grow in the game while fostering teamwork and sportsmanship.
Kristi Sexe joined the SBBA Board in 2024 and serves as Co-Recreation Program Director, working to provide a fun and engaging basketball experience for players of all skill levels. In this role, she helps shape the recreational program to ensure a strong emphasis on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
With a passion for youth sports and community involvement, Kristi is committed to creating a positive environment where young athletes can learn and grow. Her leadership helps ensure that SBBA’s recreational program continues to thrive and offer meaningful opportunities for players and families in Shakopee.
Nick Burns joined the SBBA Board in 2024 and now serves as Travel Coordinator, overseeing the operations, logistics, and development of SBBA’s travel basketball program. His role includes supporting coaches, organizing schedules, and ensuring players have a rewarding and competitive experience throughout the season.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management from the College of Saint Benedict and St. John’s University (MN). Nick also coached a travel team this year, giving him direct insight into the player experience and day-to-day demands of the travel program.
With a background in business and a passion for youth basketball, Nick brings strong organization and a team-first mindset to SBBA’s travel program, helping guide its continued growth and success.
Marissa Erdman joined the SBBA Board in 2025 and serves as Co-Tournament Director, helping to coordinate and manage the association’s tournaments. Her focus is on delivering organized, competitive, and enjoyable events that reflect the quality and spirit of SBBA.
She is a graduate of North Dakota State University, where she earned a degree in Social Sciences. Originally from Champlin Park, Marissa brings a strong sense of community and a passion for youth sports to her role.
Her organizational skills and commitment to creating positive experiences for players, coaches, and families make her a valuable addition to the SBBA leadership team.
Nick Bata joined the SBBA Board in 2023 and serves as Communications Director, overseeing the association’s messaging, outreach, and engagement with the basketball community. His role focuses on ensuring clear and effective communication between SBBA, players, families, and the broader Shakopee community.
He holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of North Dakota and brings a strong background in business and strategic communication. In addition to his role with SBBA, Nick serves as a board member with Fusion Learning Partners, further demonstrating his commitment to leadership and community involvement.
With a passion for youth sports and organizational growth, Nick plays a key role in strengthening SBBA’s communication efforts, ensuring families stay informed and engaged with the program.
