Finance Committee
The Finance Committee oversees the financial health and operations of the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association. This committee is responsible for key financial tasks, including:
• Preparing the annual budget in collaboration with program directors and leadership, ensuring it aligns with organizational goals.
• Reviewing and approving monthly financial reports such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and reconciliations, which are then presented to the Board of Directors.
• Ensuring adherence to fiscal policies and procedures for transparency, accuracy, and accountability, including bank reconciliations, revenue management, and expense approvals.
• Monitoring financial controls to prevent conflicts of interest and safeguard assets during events and daily operations.
• Managing financial assistance programs for families in need, supporting community accessibility.
Through diligent planning, oversight, and reporting, the Finance Committee ensures the financial stability and integrity of the Association, enabling its continued success.
