The Events Committee plays a vital role in the success of the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association by coordinating a variety of activities and operations throughout the year. This committee’s responsibilities include:
• Overseeing concessions operations at tournaments and events, ensuring smooth setup, staffing, and cash management to support fundraising efforts.
• Organizing and facilitating check-ins during player evaluations for both the Recreation and Travel programs, helping maintain an efficient and organized process.
• Assisting with the planning and execution of special events, including tournaments, team gatherings, and other association activities.
• Supporting the management of volunteer assignments to ensure all critical event roles, such as admissions, concessions, and site coordination, are properly staffed.
• Collaborating with other committees to meet operational needs and enhance the overall experience for players, coaches, families, and attendees.
