Refund Policies
Refund policies for each program are listed below. If you have any questions about these policies please contact the club treasurer.
1st-3rd Grade Development
Shakopee Boys Basketball Association Refund Policy 1. No Refunds After Program Start Refunds will not be issued once the program has officially begun. Program start is defined as the first scheduled practice, game, or event associated with the registration. 2. Refund Requests Refund requests made prior to the program start must be submitted in writing via email or in person to the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association. Each request must include: • Participant’s name • Reason for the refund request • Proof of registration (if applicable) 3. Board Review All refund requests, regardless of timing or reason, will be subject to review by the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association Board. The board retains sole discretion to approve or deny refund requests based on individual circumstances. 4. Non-Refundable Fees Registration processing fees, late fees, or any costs incurred by the association before the refund request (e.g., uniforms, tournament fees) are non-refundable. 5. Exceptional Circumstances The board will consider exceptional circumstances such as: • Medical conditions with documentation • Relocation outside the area • Other extenuating situations deemed appropriate by the board 6. Timeline for Refunds Approved refunds will be processed within 30 days of board approval. 7. Final Decision The decision of the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association Board is final and binding in all refund matters. By registering for the program, participants and their families agree to abide by this refund policy.
4th-8th Grade SWL (Recreation)

4th-8th Grade (Competitive)
At the Shakopee Boys Basketball Association (SBBA), we understand that circumstances may change, and we strive to provide clarity regarding our refund policy for the Travel Basketball program. Refund Policy Overview: 1. Full Refunds A full refund will be provided for withdrawal requests received prior to the start of evaluations. Requests must be submitted in writing to finance@shakopeehoops.net to qualify. 2. No Refunds After Evaluations Begin Once evaluations commence, no refunds will be issued, regardless of the reason for withdrawal. This policy is necessary to cover costs associated with the season, including gym rentals, league fees, and administrative expenses. 3. Exceptional Circumstances In rare cases of extraordinary circumstances, such as a significant medical issue or relocation, a partial refund may be considered. Requests must include supporting documentation and will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis by the SBBA Board. Please note that these refunds, if approved, may be subject to administrative fees.
